The School of Foreign Languages adheres to the concept of “pursuing knowledge and truth through a liberal approach to higher education” and has established substantial cooperative connections with many universities or educational institutions in more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Japan, etc. More than 60 teachers have been invited to study abroad for further development as joint researchers, visiting scholars, or adjunct lecturers. Meanwhile, overseas teachers and scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and France come to our school to teach. Every year, a large number of top students are sent to the United States, Brazil, Poland, Thailand and other countries to serve as volunteers for teaching Chinese (Mandarin) as a foreign language and our Portuguese majors are sent annually to the University of Macau to attend their International Summer Programmes. We also welcome scholars or PHD students from around the world to visit the School of Foreign Languages at Hubei University as visiting researchers.
